Grandma's moving in.
And your health insurance premiums are about to skyrocket.
Medicaid and Medicare are on the chopping block.
As I wrote weeks ago…
What does this mean for you?
Nothing would will have more impact on workers’ comp than significant cuts to Medicaid.
Nothing.
Republicans in the House of Representatives passed a budget bill cutting $880 Billion from HHS, the Federal department that runs Medicare and Medicaid. This will:
throw tens of millions of Americans off health insurance,
increase your health insurance costs - a lot - as providers charge you more to cover free care they provide to the uninsured.
Half of ALL hospitals in Arkansas, Kansas and Mississippi are likely to close…Florida and Tennessee are right behind losing 2 of every five.
Hundreds of nursing homes - primarily funded by Medicaid - are going to close…so better get that hospital bed set up at home!.
Grandma’s new home.
Medicaid facts.
1 out of 6 adults are covered by Medicaid.
3 out of 5 adults covered by Medicaid are working.
More than half of Medicaid spend is for the elderly and disabled.
2 out of every 5 births are covered by Medicaid.
Medicaid is really popular regardless of political affiliation.
Lest you think this isn’t about you, working age adults and children in small towns and rural areas are more likely than those living in or near cities to be on Medicaid/CHIP for their health insurance.
Here’s more details on Medicaid and how this will affect you.
And yes this was in Project 2025.

The shock felt by his supporters who still overwhelmingly support him is almost comical. They now find themselves shocked that he will allow THEIR children to die and THEIR grandparents to be turned out of their nursing homes, etc. They fully expected to have these cuts only harm 'the libs' whom they have been taught to hate.
Joe- truly frightening and devastating. Thank you for your cogent analysis.
