Hospitals rated lowest for Workers' Comp
Yesterday we revealed the highest-rated hospitals for workers’ comp…today Health Strategy Associates is DIS - pleased to reveal the 10 lowest scoring hospitals in the US for workers’ compensation.
Using HSA’s proprietary Workers’ Comp Facility Assessment Tool(sm) our analysts ranked all the hospitals in the country based on their scores for Clinical Outcomes, Patient Engagement, Safety, Efficiency, and Relative Price. We aggregated facilities’ scores across these categories to determine which “earned” this designation.

HSA’s payer clients utilize the Tool in PPO network development and assessment, facility evaluation and direction of care. With a strong focus on quality, the Tool is the only application based on highly credible data providing instant facility assessment and scoring.
Unlike most hospital scoring systems, the Workers’ Comp Facility Assessment Tool does not use hospitals’ own reviews or community “ratings” and satisfaction scores; it is based on the best available data and specifically designed for workers’ compensation. The Tool utilizes objective and highly credible state and federal government data on clinical outcomes, patient safety, patient engagement and cost. Cost is calculated with workers’ comp-focused data and quality measures are weighted for relevance to workers’ comp dynamics, with special focus on those metrics most relevant to musculoskeletal care.
