At this point, how can we be surprised? We knew this is the kind of stuff that would happen under this administration. As my husband likes to say, “we get the government we deserve.” I used to vehemently disagree with him and say “Well, I don’t deserve that!”
As far as I’m concerned, this is all by design. This is exactly how a few privileged people want things to go, and we don’t have the stamina to push back and fight against it.
“We the people” are partly to blame for not pushing back harder. We should be doing what the Albanians are doing. 18 consecutive days of protests. The people of the US have become too complacent and just don’t want to be bothered. Most everyone just continues what they’re doing day by day, watching freedoms erode, paying more at restaurants, paying more for travel, complaining all the way, but not doing a damn thing about it. 🥵😡🤬
